Mission Work Presentation

We finally got around to recording the presentation that we have been using at churches and fundraisers explaining our upcoming work in Kenya.

June has started to get busy! We had an excellent time at a family reunion with Bryce’s parents, sister and her family, aunt and uncle, and cousins with all of their families. We hadn’t seen the extended family since the pandemic, so it was great to all be together once more before we move. Owen and Grace enjoyed their first time on an airplane; Henry acted like the whole experience was routine even though he hasn’t flown since he was 8 months old. He was a master at rolling the 4 wheeled suitcase by the end of the trip. So maybe our trip over the ocean will be a piece of cake…

The house is on the market, and we have had several showings and an open house. I have vacuumed more in the past month than the past 5 years combined πŸ˜‰ At the beginning of August, we are heading to North Carolina to the Samaritan’s Purse headquarters for a two week bootcamp before flying to Kenya. Please pray that we would be able to absorb as much information as possible and pray that the kids do well in their classes, too.

We are beginning the tedious process of packing, selling, donating, and otherwise unburdening ourselves of most of our belongings. It’s amazing how full the basement got after just 10 months of living here! I’m not looking forward to the boys realizing that all of their toys aren’t coming. Pray for grace and patience…and for a prompt replacement of our defunct upstairs air conditioner.

We appreciate all the love, support, and prayers that are coming our way. We couldn’t be doing this without all of your backing. We promise this blog will get more interesting soon.
