Donation Ideas

Thank you for your interest in our work at Kijabe Hospital in Kenya. We are in the process of establishing our monthly donor base through CHSC to support us as we live in Kenya. If you like to sign up to be a monthly donor, click below. If you have been giving through Samaritan’s Purse, it’s time to switch over.

For everyone else, we have several one-time or yearly items that you can help with. Below are some expenses coming up this year:

ExpensesApproximate Cost
Transport medical equipment to Kenya$400
Travel to medical missions conference$6,000
Travel to US$10,000
Medical License fee$800
Kenyan Work Permit$1,550
Continuing medical education$540
ENT Board Membership$350
Academy of Otolaryngology membership$1090
School tuition for the kids$9,000

At the hospital, we have to provide most of the surgical equipment to be able to offer the life-altering surgeries we perform each week. Every time something breaks (old donated equipment doesn’t last forever) we have to figure out some way to replace it- that sometimes means buying it ourselves. Having our monthly needs covered means we can utilize our funds for projects like an operating microscope that isn’t from “West Germany”.

The healthcare situation in Kenya is far from ideal. There are patients that need help, and they have no one else to help them. Friends of Kijabe is collecting a needy patient fund to help cover medical bills for Head and Neck cancer patients, and for children. I would love to be able to give a portion of our project funds to the cause.

“The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’” Matthew 25:40

Your donation will not only mean a lot to us, but it will also change the lives of many in Kenya and across Africa. Thank you for your prayers and generosity.
